Early Stages.
The journey begins with an initial meet and site inspection.
We discuss the brief of the client and consider the existing services, environmental factors, sustainability, interior functionality, compliance and of course budget. From there a Preliminary Design can be developed that integrates both architectural planning and interior design vision.
We understand the process can be daunting as well as exciting and feel it is important to discuss your overall expectations as well as answer any questions you have about the process.
Concept Design + Feasibility.
This is an exciting and vital part of the architectural and interior design process.
At Studio Soul we ensure that all practicalities of the design have been considered thoroughly.
We understand that any extraordinary design is only successful when it meets all aspects of the brief. It is at this stage that your project begins to take shape in the form of sketches and floor plans.
Developed Design.
Finalising the design concept is an important milestone.
At this stage we can refine our collective ideas across the architectural and/or interior scope ensuring cohesion and begin to engage with consultants as required.
This may also include correspondence with the relevant councils regarding any potential compliance issues and district planning.
Detailed Design.
At Studio Soul we have a great relationship and history of working with many councils throughout New Zealand.
Our detailed architectural documentation and specifications ensure a clear, coordinated, and efficient consenting process. Delivering a smooth and cost-effective outcome.
Excellent communication between all parties will ensure inclusivity throughout the consenting process.
Interior Design.
Interior design services including lighting design and selection, acoustic considerations, colour and material selection, and detailed joinery design - through to fixture and furnishing selections as required.
We work carefully within the existing architecture, incorporating each client’s brief to deliver fit-for-purpose, thoughtfully unique spaces for both commercial and residential projects.
Tender Procurement.
Using quality design and contractual documentation allows Studio Soul to obtain accurate pricing for your projects.
After initial tender periods we have a transparent approach in discussion around pricing with both the Contractor and Client, ensuring all conditions, costs and contractual information are clearly understood and agreed.
Observation.
Scheduled construction observation, along with clear and accurate contract administration, allow our clients to enjoy the construction process working with Studio Soul.
Our level of involvement is up to the Client, and we work with individuals’ requirements project by project. We can oversee both architectural and interior implementation, ensuring finishes, materials and detailing are delivered as intended.
We appreciate getting involved early in the construction stage, including completing construction contracts to suit projects of any scale.
